2021년 제19회를 맞이하는 BIEAF는 2000년 부산 용두국제환경예술제(YIEAF)에서 시작되어 2021년에는 18개국 721명의 예술가가 참여하였습니다. 작품전시, 공연, 예술포럼 등 국제문화예술 교류를 통하여 <환경과 예술>의 사회적소통을 열어 갑니다.

19th BIEAF2021 주제는 '지구는 하나' 입니다. 20세기 인간은 기후변화, 바이러스, 플라스틱과 같은 물질로부터 위험에 처해 있습니다. 이를 극복하고 지구와 상생하며 새로운 미래를 열어나가는 것은 우리 모두의 과제 입니다. BIEAF2021에서 지구촌 환경에 대한 문제와 극복을 예술가들의 창의적인 작품으로 감상자분들과 소통하고자 합니다.

에코현대미술전, 아시아그래픽스올림피아드, 아시아키드창의올림피아드, 아시아산업디자인, 환경예술포럼 등 아트작품과 공모전 우수작품을 전시하며 학자들과 포럼을 개최합니다. 21세기 환경과 예술을 지속적으로 논의하는 자리를 만들어가는 BIEAF에 함께하시기 바랍니다.

The BIEAF, which marks the 19th anniversary in 2021, started at the Yongdu International Environmental Arts Festival in Busan in 2000, and 721 artists from 18 countries participated in 2021. Through international cultural and artistic exchanges such as art exhibitions, performances, and art forums, we will hold social communication of the environment and art.

The 19th BIEAF2021 theme is 'The Earth Is One'. Humans in the 20th century are at risk from substances such as climate change, viruses, and plastics. Overcoming this, coexisting with the earth and opening a new future is a task for all of us. At BIEAF2021 we would like to communicate with the viewers through creative works of artists to overcome the problems of the global environment.

It will hold a forum with scholars by exhibiting art works and exhibitions such as the Eco Contemporary Art Exhibition, Asia Graphics Olympiad, Asia Kid Chang Olympiad, Asia Industrial Design, and Environmental Arts Forum. Please join BIEAF, which continues to discuss the environment and art of the 21st century.

제19 회 부산국제환경예술제 BIEAF2021이 '오직하나 녹색지구, Only One, Green Earth'이라는 테마로 새롭게 다시 한 번 찾아왔습니다. 올해는 17개국 721명의 참가자가 자신의 작품을 기고했으며, 여기에는 어린 학생, 예술가 및 일반 대중의 참여가 포함됩니다.

경제 위기와 코로나 (Covid 19) 건강전염병이 거의 동시에 시작되었지만 예술가들은 우리의 일상 생활 환경에 대한 염려와 우려를 표명했습니다. 그들의 작품은 우리 주변 사람들에게 희망의 메시지를 전했습니다. 그들의 메시지는 분명합니다. 인내심을 갖고 미래를 형성 할 시간을 주자고 전합니다..

The 19th Busan International Environmental Art Festival, BIEAF 2021 is here once again as promised with a new format and new theme ‘Only One, Green Earth’. This year 721 participants from 17 countries have contributed their art work and it includes participation by young students, artists and general public. 

It is worth noting that despite near-simultaneous onset of an economic crisis and Covid 19 health pandemic, artists have expressed their mind and concern about our day to day living environment. In doing so, they have spread message of hope to the people all around us. Their message is also clear: be patient and allow time to shape future.

I also take this opportunity to thank Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Metropolitan City Council, Pusan National Univ, civic groups and working committees of BIEAF 2021 for their sincere support.  Thank you very much.
